supposedly this is a nurburgring test of a 4 banger boxster something I am super glad about. I think porsche should make a cheaper roadster and put in a flat4 banger and make it a very simple light car. ANYWAYS!
Check out this photo. I was wondering if you guys could help me out by telling me just what is going one here.
What is with the very small looking brakes but giant wheels and tiny low pro tires? Why is there all that stuff in the wheel wells? and the shark tooth looking things on the front and rear bumper?

I don't see a need for a 4 banger unless it's cheaper than the six versions. I wouldn't pay more for a more powerful 4 banger Porsche. I'd rather have the six with a little less power.

that's where they're going to cut the fenders to attach the rocket bunny kit

My guess is that they were testing aerodynamics on the car.

Gas mileage regulation. Unless you want Porsche to make their own Aston Martin Cygnet.

Again if it's cheaper go for it. Otherwise eh

The flat-4 version probably won't be as wide and will have smaller brakes to help lower the cost... My guess.

Doesn't look like Porsche factory work. Perhaps an aftermarket R&D effort.
